Clients Background:

Our client is a premium skincare brand that offers dermatologically tested products tailored for various skin concerns. While they had an established online presence, they faced challenges in reducing CPA and optimizing ad spend across Google Ads. The goal was to scale their campaigns while maintaining efficiency and maximizing return on ad spend (ROAS).

The Challenge:

The brand was struggling with high customer acquisition costs (CPA) and inefficient targeting on Google Ads. Their existing campaigns were not driving high intent traffic, leading to wasted ad spend and lower conversions.

The Strategy

1. Restructuring Google Ads for Efficiency
  • We broke down broad campaigns into smaller, high performing ad groups.
  • Performance Max campaigns were used to maximize conversions by utilizing Google’s AI driven automation.
  • Search campaigns were optimized with refined keyword targeting, leading to better ad placements and lower CPC.
2. Audience Segmentation and Retargeting
  • We leveraged first party data to create high intent audience segments.

  • Lookalike audiences were built from previous high value customers.

  • Dynamic remarketing campaigns were set up to bring back engaged users and increase conversions.

3. Smart Bidding & Budget Optimization
  • Switched to Target ROAS and Max Conversion bid strategies to automate efficiency.

  • Budget was shifted dynamically to top performing campaigns and product categories.

  • Regular bid adjustments were made to stay competitive while controlling CPA.

The Results (Over 13 Months):

✅ Total ad spend: $5.2M
✅ Total revenue generated: $57.2M
✅ Achieved an actual ROAS of 1,098.43%
✅ 415K conversions
✅ Significantly reduced CPA while scaling ad spend
